Such authors as Comenius, Bliss, Soergel and Szostak find that education is an important field of application for knowledge organization. In particular, in language acquisition learners should be able to fit new words and concepts into their existing knowledge networks.
We introduce the Ma.Vi. (Marcatori Visivi, visual markers) method, by which movements and coloured marks are used to facilitate learning of phonology, morphology, syntax and textuality thus improving reading and writing skills. Experimentation is carried out to extend the Ma.Vi. method to semantics by applying fundamental categories of relationships from the bibliographic tradition of facet analysis, particularly those of the Integrative Levels Classification (ILC): quality, quantity, part, property, change, opposition, agent, space, time and perspective. In the context of primary school, categories are expressed by standard colours and by basic questions, which can be used in various linguistic games. Preliminary results and further planned research are discussed.
