Abstract

The present study locates itself within the field of food safety and commerce and examines a technical and normative corpus, which is focused on food labelling and nutrition and health claims. In particular, this research investigates eu norms and regulations on food labelling and nutrition and health claims in Italian, English and French. The aim is to identify terminological aspects and translation issues related to the multilingual and interdisciplinary features of these documents through a linguistic and terminological approach. Starting from a multilingual parallel corpus that collects a selection of eu regulations on nutrition and health claims, a comparative and contrastive analysis is proposed, aimed to examine terminological, morphological and lexical features, as well as translation aspects.
